Policy Exchange Bangladesh and Voice for Reform jointly organized a discussion session titled ๐—œ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ช๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—œ๐˜๐˜€ ๐—œ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฐ๐˜ ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ตโ€™๐˜€ ๐—˜๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ผ๐—บ๐˜† ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ฃ๐˜‚๐—ฏ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฐ ๐—Ÿ๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ฒ, bringing together economists, experts, business leaders, and journalists. The session was moderated by Mr. Fahim Mashroor, Co-coordinator of Voice for Reform. The keynote speaker was Dr. M Masrur Reaz, Chairman of Policy Exchange Bangladesh. In his keynote address, Dr. Reaz outlined how the ongoing Iran conflict could affect Bangladesh through three critical economic channel: energy, exports, and remittances, and explained that any prolonged instability in the region could intensify pressure on domestic prices, external trade, and overall macroeconomic stability. Other speakers at the event also emphasized that the war centered on Iran could create serious risks for Bangladeshโ€™s economy and public life by disrupting energy supplies, export trade, and overseas employment. Among the speakers were Mr. Shams Mahmud, Former President of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI); Mr. Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury Noman, Former Secretary General of the Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA); International Relations Expert, Professor Dr. Shahab Enam Khan; Energy Specialist Mr. Shafiqul Alam; and Mr. Mollah Amzad, Editor of Energy and Power Magazine.
